Local Building Certifier was established in 2021 by founding partner Sam Benchick. We provide building certification, surveying and compliance consulting across all building classes: residential, industrial, retail, health, education and places of worship.

What a certifier actually does
In some states certifiers are called building surveyors. The job is the same: assess a building application against the National Construction Code, carry out the mandatory inspections, and certify the application or works as compliant.
We work with the whole project team: owners, architects, engineers, town planners and builders. Our role is to get the project to a fully compliant outcome with the least friction possible.

We are keenly passionate about building surveying and the construction industry, delivering practical solutions across all classes of buildings. We established Local because we believed the industry deserved a better certifying service: professional, personable and collaborative.
